Hi Lisa - Thanks so much for your post. This is one of my favorite topics. In fact, I have my kids "bring" their homework all the time. (I put "bring" in parentheses because I am often treating by skype these days...) And, if it's not their homework, per se, we talk about what they're learning in school so at least the topics are relevant and the practice involves words they'll use in the school setting. It's helped me remember Math and English literature. This week I got a great refresher on the history of Islam! Anything we can do to make treatment more relevant for kids seems like a good thing to me...I do the same with adults, by the way...I've learned more about law and medicine through therapy then I ever would have learned about law or medicine in law school or med school ;-) Thanks for raising the point! S
