Hello and thanks for writing. I am happy to hear that the assignment you describe is still a part of graduate studies! Truly, SLPs benefit from the experiences of putting ourselves in situations similar to those our students may encounter. I can't speak for Scott (well, yes I can on this one)...we cannot count the number of times we have gone on "field trips" with our clients to stutter in the real world! No matter how many times I do this, I always learn something.
