I am a graduate student in a Communication Disorders program and I am looking forward to working in the “not-so-distant future” as a speech-language therapist. Your article certainly shed light on the complexity of stuttering and the importance for therapists to consistently address the emotional and psychological issues that often accompany school-aged children. How would you address potential parents, who despite all the research, might still feel that the speech fluency strategies are still the most important part of therapy? Again, I enjoyed your article!
