Scott and Nina, thank you for your informative article. After reading about school-age stuttering therapy, I do have a few questions. Knowing that a child's fluency is shaped by internal factors, to what extent should we attempt to council the child, and when should we refer to a counselor or psychologist? Also, how do you feel that we may promote a better understanding of fluency throughout the field of speech-language pathology, and how may we better equip SLPs to treat school-age children who stutter? Thank you for your time.
