Hello Natalie; Educating teacher is a high priority. To do this effectively, SLPs must become knowledgeable about stuttering and adept at collaboration. There are many resources available for teachers including information from here on the stutteringhomepage.com, and also the National Stuttering Association and the Stuttering Foundation of America. Don' forget, however, that one of the best "teachers for teachers" is the child who stutters! Make certain that part of the process is empowering the child to educate those in the environment.
