Mi amigo, Thank you for your questions. First, please keep in mind that we know far less about etiology of cluttering than we do stuttering. That said, the two are definitely related; we see cluttering emerge in families with a history of stuttering, and we see many people who present with some measure of both. Cluttering is as universal as stuttering; in fact, cluttering research has a far richer history in Europe than in the US. Regarding DSM-IV-TR, it is my understanding that fluency disorders will be reclassified, but I don't know the details - perhaps someone else who is better informed on this will share more information...?
