Hello Dr. Daly! I really enjoyed reading your article, and as I future speech language pathologist I know this will be very helpful. In your article you mentioned that researchers have noted that clutterers’ speech rate increases and that speech intelligibility suffers as they produce longer sentences. However, I was wondering if in addition, it is ever common for a client’s speech to sound un-natural or awkward after they have properly learned how to use the “power of the pause”?
