It took me years and years, and I'm still improving my speech every day. If you're looking for a number, I would say it took about ten years of work to make a really significant improvement in my speech. Much less was known about cluttering when I went through therapy, so it probably took me a lot more time than it would with someone similar today. And I think that it will take even less time in the future. I think it's theoretically possible to "cure" cluttering in about a year, and I think that eventually there will be some really good therapies and understanding about cluttering that allow therapists to rapidly help clutterers.
