I think my speech didn't really improve during the years I was in therapy. However, I did start learning the valuable skills that would eventually help me to improve my speech, in therapy. Almost all clutterers can temporarily improve their speech by focusing on it. In therapy we did a lot of things that temporarily improved my speech. However, I had a really hard time integrating that into my regular life, and it took me a long time afterwards, piecing together what I did in therapy and trying to integrate it into real life. I think a big struggle is that clutterers don't realize they're clutterering when they're cluttering. A big part of what I figured out after therapy was how to shorten the time it takes for me to realize my speech is disfluent. I was in therapy a long time ago, before much was known about it. I think that if I had started therapy today, I would have had a more direct result. And to wrap up your questions, my cluttering improved after therapy, and I'm not receiving therapy today.
