Hi LM, Thanks for your question. Let me rephrase what I said. I think that if I were to have had speech therapy in the 1970's, with 1970's-level understanding of cluttering, it would have made it worse for me. I think I would have been misdiagnosed, and I think I would have ended up feeling shame for my speech. The way it ended up playing out, I've felt no shame or guilt for my speech. Ignorance can be bliss...for a little bit, anyway. :) However, if I were born this year, 2010, and in 2020 when I was ten, had a really understanding and compassionate SLP, like the ones posting in this conference, I think that I might be able to have completely "cured" my cluttering by the time I graduated High School.
