Hi, Daniella - I am sorry if I gave the impression that Canadian universities don't address cluttering adequately. I believe that our SLP training programs allow approximately the same amount of time to cluttering as American programs and that universities in both countries tend to discuss cluttering within a fluency disorders course. As far as I am aware, it is only in one or two European countries that cluttering gets an entire course dedicated to it. The relatively small amount of time spent on cluttering in North American programs speaks to the fact that there isn't much new information on the subject and that we still know very little about it, relative to stuttering, for example. It also occurs rarely enough that many students graduate without ever having seen a client with cluttered speech. I want to assure you that we have excellent SLP training programs in Canada. Thank you for your question, Daniella. Regards, Carla.
