Thank you Ksenya for your question. I think from the point of view of the bilingual person whose stuttering/cluttering manifest themselves in both languages, I would say that the correct sound production (explosive sounds, exaggerated diphthongs/triphthongs) helped to slow down the spurts, intonational groups (10, by O'Connor) helped to "sing" the words out, preventing the blocks, using the comma as a pausal signal (which is the main difference of English/Russian) helped to regulate breathing and completeness of the sounds. Using a leading hand while talking is helping to avoid blocks in both in Russian and English as well as the massage of the speech organs relaxed muscles is. Flash cards with words which contained the words I struggled with. Expanding the vocabulary always provides the chance for substitution. Delegating some of the monitoring to the listeners reduces the stress. One of the phone conversation tactics - stand up and smile while you are talking (according to research, standing reduces the mucles stress, smiling adds the emotional coloring). Thank you for your active participation in this conference.
