Thanks Annie. I think more studies involving estimation of time in various tasks would be one way to go. Some of the previous research on stuttering involved having subjects estimate periods of time either filled with silence, speech, music, etc. I also think some brain imaging studies would provide useful information. I would love if some of the more experienced researchers would add to this discussion! :)
