Hi Heather. Thanks for the question. After each utterance, the subjects rated on a scale from 1 to 5 how well what they said matched what they thought they would say. 1 indicated it did not match at all, 3 indicated that it matched about half, and 5 indicated that it more or less was exact. Only ratings of 4 and 5 were included in the analysis. I hope that (and Dr. St. Louis' comment) answers your question. Thanks again!
