I’m an up and coming Speech-Language Pathology graduate student, and I’ve always had a passion for working with children. My dream is to one day work in a school system. After reading your story, I was very troubled that this happened. I understand that the workload for school SLP’s is very demanding, but I feel that if you had ongoing concerns, more evaluations should’ve been performed. I feel very fortunate to have read your story and believe hearing stories like yours will make me a better clinician. Can you offer any advice as to how much of an impact the SLP had on your son and what techniques he seemed to enjoy most?
