I am currently a student in the Speech Pathology and Audiology program at West Virginia University. After reading your story, I was shocked by the lack of support that you received from the school’s Speech Pathologist. I admire your dedication to finding the services that were appropriate for your child, and not accepting a prognosis that you knew was not appropriate for Chase. In addition, I think it is important how you stress the need for an entire team of individuals, and the significance of having a child who desires to do well.
