I did not witness the actual testing. I was asked to wait in an area outside the testing room. The following tests were given: Speech-In-Noise Test used to evaluate auditory figure-ground skills, selective attention, and word discrimination abilitities. Staggered Spondaic Word Test used to evaluate auditory memory, sequencing and decoding. Low Pass Filtered Speech, a test of auditory closure and word discrimination and the ability to fill in missing information. Time Compressed Sentence Test which is a time compressed sentence test to identify and quantify disorders of AP. Phonemic Synthesis used to evaluate primarily decoding abilities but may reveal fading memory difficulties, phonemic confusions and sequencing difficulties and the inability to synthesize speech.
