Megan, Thank you for reading my story. Chase just turned 10 this month. I would say that he is making slow and steady progress socially. He has a group of about 3 to 4 boys that he hangs out with at school. I agree with you....it is disappointing that our schools are willing to allow our children fail before services are provided. During one of my meetings with Child Study and School Admin. when my son was described as an average student, I asked the question, "Why is average acceptable when extraordinary is a possibility?" The response I received was we're not here for extraordinary, we're hear to meet the state requirements. I'm still taken back by that response. I wish you the best of luck in your studies and future career.
