One of the subjects in my thesis (Time Estimation paper here in this conference) was a senior in college and currently receiving therapy in our university clinic when I met him. I observed a couple of his sessions and his clinician was using the DAF with him. In the two sessions I observed, he was required to read from the newspaper or answer open ended questions with and without the DAF. He, the clinician, and the therapy assistant then each rated his speech on various aspects such as rate, volume (he spoke softly), etc. I am not sure which settings she used on the DAF but it seemed to have a pretty drastic effect on his speech. I am not sure of his LTGs but I assume they were to fade the use of the DAF once began to be accustomed to listening to his own speech. It's a shame we didn't think to get that grad clinician to write up a little paper for this conference!
