Emily,I'm glad you put this in. Your study summarized in the research papers below present your study and results. Yet, this part of the study, used to assure that the experimental participants were in fact people who clutter, give the reader much greater confidence in the results. I believe that your procedure is one of the best solutions I have seen to deal with the "normalization" effect of so many clutterers. I believe this should become a part of any diagnostic protocol. (Hint to Klaas Bakker and Florence Myers <smile>). Ken
