Great question. If the client is a child I use the end of the dots as a natural pause. I have found trying to "teach" pausing can sometimes be lost on a child. I will use the end of the dots to teach adults about natural pausing. In my experience, this is a MUCH easier way for an adult to learn natural pausing. For children, once they are able to generalize, it is very effective for pausing. Thanks so much!!
