Yes good points, Ken. Overall speaking rate is only helpful as a baseline to post-Tx progress indicator if stutter types do not change much - because longer duration stutters, such as slow whole-word reps can be milder but take up more time. Articulatory rate measures are the way to go. Just curious - in the study you completed, Ken, did you measure just syllables per second or phones per second?
