Judy, Jessica's comment and my initial reply below is related to this issue - if someone acknowledges cluttering in a job interview, could that help them or hurt them? I'm sure it depends on a myriad of other factors, but because it exists as a diagnosis, people who clutter could explain that to a job interviewer, and maybe give them an ICA or SFA brochure on "what cluttering is" and just ask for the simple accommodation of "if you don't understand me here and there, please ask." Or "Sometimes I know but it just takes me a little longer to get my message across. Thanks for understanding - it's a newer diagnosis, etc." I like to think that society is somewhat more accommodating than we used to be - Florence Myers brought up the example of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) a few posts back. These are all relatively new Dx labels, but most caring individuals in my experience make an effort to learn what is that Dx you have and how does it affect your abilities or not. Meanwhile, cluttering in ADA is an important goal.
