Dear Jessica, based on the experience of working with the program, the purpose of which was to employ people with SLD, ADD/ADHD problems, I would like to add a couple more suggestions to what Ms. Lisa LaSalle already mentioned. 1)you might want to get in touch with employment services - they work with both those who seek employment and the employers and might help you to identify which employers have the best hiring record with people with speech problems(out of 86 potential employers, our program chose to work only with 8). Workforce councellors will give you information if asked specifically. They may make a referral, too. 2) Evidently, your application demonstrated your strengths. Employment services may help you to find more about your strengths/weaknesses and propose the most optimal employment opportunities. It is always challenging to step ouside the comfort zone, no matter how un-comfortable it is. You already did it when you got your interview! I wish you to find an employment which would match the inner you!
