Thanks for writing, Josephine. The answer to your question about having clients identify MY changes in speech is: "both" At first, I have them identify changes is my natural prosody or intonation. Then, we move toward me imitating clutter-like speech (I am still getting better at that...it's a process :)) and having them identify things I did that made it difficult for the listener to follow me. It was also insightful for you to catch that I change the semantics of "slow down" to include a much more concrete concept, along with TONS of modeling and practice! Thanks again, for your interest.
