Dear Florence, Great ideas. Dalton and Hardcastle(1993) observed that their Asian clients were found to present cluttering patterns of speech more frequently than stuttering. . They also suggested assessing the relationship between the types of disfluencies presented by speakers of different languages and the characteristics of those languages, such as rhythm and articulatory patterns. Tatyana Exum and myself initiated the process of comparing symptoms of cluttering in Russian and in English. Exploring the differences in Chinese and English is your call. We will be so interested in the results! Isabella
