Weiss (1964) stressed the importance of the environment in the prevalence of cluttering. He suggested the hypothesis that cluttering is more prevalent than stuttering in the warm southern countries with socially outgoing people; and stuttering takes place more frequently than cluttering in cold northern countries. He stated that people from Africa and “temperamental Latins” in Europe, and South Americans also had a higher incidence of cluttering. How interesting! Isabella
