Yes, our retrospective memories of the conference in Bulgaria conjures up very fond memories. Katarino was transformed into a magical kingdom, where delegates from nearly all continents congregated and--on the last day of the conference--founded ICA. While cluttering has for so long been thought of as an orphan (at least in the States), ICA has been "parented" by caring SLPs/logopedists, consumers, and researchers around the world. And, yes, we owe a great deal to the giants of our field such as Van Riper and his colleague Alf Preus.
