Abigail, Your question is so common from so many clinicians taht I come in contact with, and most of those have way more experience than you. Most SLPs get about one lecture on cluttering and that's it. By reading these papers, you are moving in the right direction. My suggestion to you is to complete thorough assessments on all your clients. Don't use the shortcuts provided by standardized tests alone. Collect large samples of all relevant information and UNDERSTAND the individual person and where their communication breaks down. Without this, you are only guessing at treatments. If you must use standardized assessments, use them as part of your overall assessment. Build a profile..... traingulate..... undertsnad! That's my suggestion. Thanks, John T.
