Susan, We didnt' mean to say that there would be a lack of awareness of communication disorders in Latin American countries. We really only found out (a little) about the knowledge and awareness of cluttering. I am sure there is a great deal of interest in communication disorders in Latin American countries in general. The cultural differences in awareness of cluttering (and maybe also attitudes and knowledge) are mostly important with respect to opportunities for people who clutter to get proper help, know what type of problem they have to begin with, and realize that help could be availabe. I am sure that (self) awareness of the problem in the end is most important regardless of cultural differences, but without a "cultural recognition" of the problem this awareness is likely to be disturbed and nonproductive in the sense of being able to do something about it. What do others think?
