Thanks LM! We have been looking for some sort of social "training" for my son for years. We had referrals from his primary, slps, physiologist to go see some sort of social group therapy. All of them turned out to be a bust. Most of them were geared for servere cases of social issues, ie autism, trouble youths, etc. Jon was 13, the upper age limit for most groups when we were last looking. His current slp made a valient effort in putting together a group at her office, but that never happened. She does a little role play now, but not much. As parents, doing role play isnt as effective. This is the main reason I created the NorCal Cluttering Meetup group - group is still new, and not really meant for social training. I was hoping to take my son to the NSA's 2010 conference in Cleveland this year so he can take some of their workshops-taxes this year may prevent that. 2009 conference, I attended a HS schools workshop on "advertising". Next year is a very important year for Jon as he is going into high school at age 15. He will be 2 yrs older than anyone else and will have his cluttering problem. He has not yet learned to self advocate for himself. We are still desperately looking for some sort of training for Jon. We are willing to pay out of pocket for anything at this point. If you have any leads for us for any sort of social therapy in the Sacramento area, or even SF (every other weekend though), please let me know. Thanks.
