Hello. In my experience being a person who clutters this has nothing to do with attention problems. For me talking in a "normal sounding way" require that I make a deliberate effort to do so, but as listening to your own voice, looking for cues to see if your speech is understood.... takes some of the "impulsivity" of a conversation away and takes energy I do not to it all the time. Just try doing it for yourself- slowing down your words, pronouncing them different than you normally do...., you will be surprised how easy it is to fall back to your natural way :).
