Thank you very much for this question. We are studying handwriting and writing for many years now. Preliminairy results of a study with around 500 handwritings shows that PWC can xperience writing problems correlating with their speech problems, but... when they do experience word repetitions and phrase repetitions in overt speech these errors are rare in written langauge, but more frequent than in fluent or stuttering controls. When a PWC experiences ovcercoarticulation in overt speech this is present in handwriting to: people start with normal size letters and end up with very small letters in which some syllables or sounds are not recognizable anymore. There seem to be a positive correlation between speech and writing rate in all persons. But.... because writing is generally slower than overt speech less errors should be expected in PWC in writing compared to spoken language.
