I am very impressed with how quickly Moussa Dao, Joseph Lukong, and Daniel Othieno have worked to establish contacts among people who stutter, in their respective countries, and among people who stutter around the world. I was also pleased to learn, some time back, that steps are under way to set up a national association for people who stutter in Rwanda.

I am certain that in years ahead we will see still more national self-help associations set up across Africa, following the example of the prioneering work that has been achieved to date. The work of our colleagues in Africa adds immeasurably to the work that ISA is doing all around the world.
