Judy,

thanks for your response to my paper. And thanks again for creating this conference. It rocks! Here is my response to your three questions:

1. You are right, you do not have to audition or have any performance experience to be in Our Time. I feel it is very important to place a limit on the number of people in each company. Everyone needs one on one attention in the creative process. We have a maxium of 10 people in the teen company and 10 in the adult company. As Our Time continues to grow we will add a second or third or fourth company to accomodate the number of people that want to be involved.

2. You are right once again, it does not cost any money to join Our Time. And yes! It costs a lot of money to run a theatre company. We serve our members free of charge and we also perform our shows free of charge. You might be asking, "How in the world can we do this? Is Taro independently wealthy or something or just crazy?" Well, I am certainly not wealthy and I hope I'm not too crazy. I do not believe in charging money to be a member of a theatre company. I also do not believe in charging money to help people out. Our Time is funded right now through individual donations. We are currently an outreach program of Naked Angels, a non-profit organization, and we are in the process of attaining our own non-profit status. After we do that, we can begin applying for grants and stuff like that. In the meantime, we will be relying on the generosity of individual people.

3. Yes, I do have a lot of energy. And yes there are only 24 hours a day. Sometimes I wonder how I am able to do everything I'm doing without falling down and taking a 48 hour nap. I guess when something is really important, you find the time and energy to do what you have to do.

Thanks again Judy for all that you're doing.

All my best,

Taro
