As a practicing speech/language pathologist, I must truly thank you for providing me with such valuable information which I will use in my practice. As a human being, I must tell you that I am "blown away" by your journey, courage, creativity, perseverance, compassion, eloquence, and humor! I have shared this article, Our Time Theater literature, and the Advance article with colleagues living here, in sunny Florida. In addition, please know that "your story" will be an important part of the curriculum for courses in high school which focus on self-esteem. On a personal note, one of my best friends in high school (in addition to Riki), was someone who was very challenged by his non-fluent speech. He, and now you, have added to my professional depth.....most importantly, however, you have both taught me a great deal about the way a human spirit can soar!
