Mr. Werner would be dismayed to see how many of his Bewares still apply today. Now, there is a new way to scam PWS, the Internet. There are several websites out there selling a book or audiotapes to "cure" stuttering. Lol, as the Romans used to say "Caveat emptor !"
I think those comments about tough love in regards to Van Riper also apply to Wendell Johnson or Joe Sheehan. There is a danger when a stuttering client later becomes a therapist. It's the old line "Well, if I did it this way, so can you !".
