Yes, this is the crux of the problem. How does one know? It is what the legal system must contend with when facing cases of abuse, and what people in relationships or families must contend with when their mates or family members use harsh tactics.
Does anyone who use desensitization in stuttering, for example, have any ideas about how to deal with this problem?
