This student does not want to give me a chance because of her previous speech teacher. Her mother told me that her previous speech teacher did not give her any wait time to respond, would tell her to hurry up with her speech, and often completed her sentences for her and interrupted her. She usually sits with her arms crossed and doesn't participate with her peers in speech.
