In reading about Stutter Across America and Phil Carrot, and other projects, I thought about how innovative these approaches are in reaching out to people who might not have previously known about the self-help/mutual aid stuttering world.
While there have been major advances in the outreach of the many groups that exist for people who stutter, there is still a need to reach out to new folks. It bcomes so much easier to deal with one's stutter with the support of other people. When it is finished I hope that my film, "Sutter Step" will also accomplish this.
