Hi , Thanks for your positive response. I have a 16 year old who is saying that he feels like he won't stutter, but is still surprised when he does. I reminded him (for about the 4th time) that John Harrison said he "stopped stuttering long before he stopped stuttering." I have seen this 16 year old for 14 sessions so far and because of his High School, golf and running commitments, we decided to try an every other week schedule this fall. I swa him two times a week during the Summer months. I believe that he will be done with therapy some time this year and sound and FEEL AND THINK like every other speaker.

My 10 year old is taking a little longer, but I have to say he is also sounding and FEELING and THINKING in much healthier ways. He's much more fluent more of the time, but I'm much more excited about his ability to talk about is feelings and beliefs. He is also finally starting to understand how to direct the therapy sessions with his ideas and desires. He used to be very passive and not believe he had any ideas. This youngster also has expressive language issues, but, interestingly, his teachers have noted improvement in his writing ability!! He's understanding his school work better too!

Are you currently using a holistic approach? Do you have info to share? Did I answeer your question adequately? Thanks again, Marjorie
