Hi Jennifer,
I haven't used this approach with children who stutter in the 3-5 year range, but I do use guided imagery with my son who is 5. I use it to relax him and help him fall off into a good night's sleep. I started using a book as a resource, then made up my own guided journeys. The book I started with is "Starbright" (subtitle: Meditations For Children) by Maureen Garth. Maureen has apparently written other books like this too. I know that the Lindcombe Method is very successful with this age group, but it would probably help these little ones to learn more about their body-mind energy connections and visualize and experience themselves as capable and relaxed beings.
