What a great success story. It is always inspiring to hear successful experiences with therapy and especially the great relationships between the therapist, parent, and child.

Nancy, you are a wonderful parent advocate for your son by reading about stuttering, taking notes, contacting the author through e-mail, and having persistence and determination. Although the internet and video taping had some delayed feedback, you maintianed patience and hope. It was great to read that you did not give up hope when your husband refused speech therapy for your son and that you did find other avenues to help your son succeed.

Barry, hats off to you for taking time to help someone who was a complete stranger over the internet. You gave Nancy and Ben a positive experience especially when Nancy was desperate for help.

I do have a couple of questions. How long did the process take to achieve success? Does Ben ever talk about his experience? How is Ben's outlook on stuttering?

Thanks, Sarah Helm
