I just wanted to add, the reason I wanted to step on, shred, and burn my list of severity ratings, is not because I felt stuttering was so awful. After all I chose a man who stutters as my husband. I greatly admire and respect him. I 'hang out with folks who stutter in my group. The reason was that I was so afraid I'd fail. I've spoken to many persons who stutter who feel their parents should have done x,y,z differently, so they maybe wouldn't have stuttered. Would my son feel that way if I didn't do this correctly, or if we just weren't successful? Also, knowing many people who stutter, they tell me how much most of them don't like it.
I just wanted to be clear on that. Thanks...
