I'm sure Nancy would agree that distance therapy is not the best way to go, but in some cases, it is the only thing available. I think that doing it by email, the parent just doesn't get the level of support that he or she would get in a face to face situation. Moreover the slp can't observe the parent's work nearly as well by distance. These are some of the reasons that distance therapy is more difficult and usually takes longer.
