Nancy, in your response to Jane (which I had not read when I wrote to you) you mentioned that your husband was aware of what you were doing with Barry but did not participate in the therapy. In your response to me, you indicated that your husband supported your efforts and spent considerable time one on one with Ben, boosting his (Ben's I assume) self-esteem. Will you please help clarify my confusion regarding your husband's role?!

The reason I am asking is that I have been working with families using the Internet and electronic mail since 1999. I conduct a family-based program in which all family members actively participate (It is not the Lidcombe program.). Obviously, since you had such good success, I am very curious just how your husband participated.

I might add that we have experienced good results using this distance method as long as the family was right for this type of approach. I believe using electronic media is the wave of the future and your success, as well as what we have experienced in our clinic, seems to justify the procedure.

Thank you for your attention to my question.
