Hi Barry & Nancy: Maybe your readers would be interested in our ISAD paper of last year: "Directed Self-Help Stuttering Therapy With A Motivated Teenage Boy, Predominantly By Email". The other isssues of being licensed in other states is not an issue in my my mind since if it were we would have to control the print, video, audio, teleconferencing, etc. too. Email is a vital tool and should not regulated in any fashion because that would inhibit very important interactions that you two had. Worry about the law when confronted--what a bag of worms that would be. In regard to liability insurance it would seem to me that it would not be necessary, but if fear on the part of the SLP is present then he/she should have some. We do not need any more licensure. What has licensure done anyway but fill the state coffers-how many SLP's are unethical and how many are called to task by any licensure agencies? Good going to Nancy on her parenting skills! Keep it up. Jerry
