Hi Karla: So how many responses did you get from the "A" list experts? I am afraid that many so called experts are too busy to get involved and when they do they are very TIMID in their responses. To stick ones neck out can lead to problems yet to be imagined and the only issues (which you mentioned) to be dealt with are the commitment and time that it takes to get involved. But with a population of stuttering at about .5% how much time can this take? And there are then the "A" list people who think that offering an OPINION is not scientific and not predicated upon research and not predicated upon all the facts in the case. Oh well, off the soap box for now. I would suggest that you look over the "stuttering homepage.com" and pick and choose from that list of people who have offered suggestions based upon their experience with the population of people who stutter. I know from my own personal experience that email can be a big boon to all of us if only we can find people who are dedicated enough to take advantage of it and to help our kindred spirits find the pathway out of Van Riper's "stuttering swamp." drgfj@aol.com
