Russ, what a great paper -- as always!! You've shared some critical views that illustrates to so many the importance of getting out there and living fully, regardless of disfluency. So well done.

You highlighted the concept of courage. So many of we stutterers discount too often the power we hold by simply going about our daily life without hesitation to "place that food order, answer that question in class, and introduce two strangers" --all with a stutter. Fluent individuals are amazed and awed that we can integrate normally, with confidence and pride, as stutterers because they often can't imagine privately that they could do the same. You set a wonderful example of simply living your life and sharing your gifts and skills.

Courage doesn't have to come in the form of facing fires and bullets -- for most of us, it's the guts to love and live our daily lives fully...while stuttering away! Thanks, Russ, for a beautiful message.

Chris
