Mr.Hicks, I am an undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Speech-Pathology and currently taking a class on Fluency Disorders. This is an awesome article. I am so amazed at how many things I get discouraged about because it set me apart from others. You have shown me in your article that no matter what our faults may be big or small we should not let them dicourage us, but encourage us to be our very best at what we feel is our worst. You are a courageous role model for the stuttering population. Although, I am not a stutterer I admire your sense of strength, positivity, and self-confidence. At what age did you develop a sense of security and appreciation for the "Gift" and what event brought you to this point of appreciation? Also I would like to commend you on your recent success (Toastmasters). My instructor,Dr. Hood, informed us your achievement.I am very interesting in hearing one of your speeches.Maybe your level of self-appreciation will influence me more.
